NEW YORK NEW JERSEY STADIUM — Following this afternoon’s France vs. Senegal match at New York New Jersey Stadium, FIFA World Cup 2026™ New York New Jersey Host Committee CEO Alex Lasry released the following statement:

“Today’s match was a huge success. We once again welcomed a sold-out crowd of more than 80,000 fans to New York New Jersey Stadium and delivered a safe, secure, and memorable matchday experience.

“Building on the success of our opening match, today demonstrated that our transportation, security, and operational plans are working. Alongside our public safety, transportation, venue, and FIFA partners, we successfully got over 90% fans into the stadium before kickoff and facilitated an orderly departure from the stadium in under 2.5 hours.

“From the moment fans arrived to the final whistle, today demonstrated that the NYNJ Host Committee delivered on its promise to create a world-class fan experience while keeping the region moving.”
