Visitors should check visa requirements based on their citizenship by visiting the U.S. State Department Visa Website (https://travel.state.gov/) Travelers from countries in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) may be eligible to enter with an approved ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization).

What transportation option is recommended for most fans?
We recommend the Official NYNJ Stadium Shuttle or NJ TRANSIT service for the easiest and most fan friendly matchday experience. These options are designed specifically for matchdays—so you’ll ride to the stadium alongside fellow fans and arrive ready for the excitement.
Is transportation for match ticket holders only?
Yes. Transportation to the New York New Jersey Stadium on matchdays is only available to FIFA World Cup 2026™ match ticket holders. A valid match ticket will be required to purchase transportation and will be checked before boarding stadium-bound rail and shuttle services.
Do I need to buy my transportation ticket ahead of time?
Yes. Fans must purchase transportation tickets in advance. Buying early guarantees your seat, helps avoid delays on matchday, and allows you to plan your trip with confidence. Transportation tickets will be limited and may sell out.
Do trains go directly to the New York New Jersey Stadium?
Yes—but only on matchdays. On match days, NJ TRANSIT operates stadium service via Secaucus Junction. Take a NJ TRANSIT train to Secaucus Junction, then transfer to the Meadowlands Rail Line, which will deliver you just steps away from the Stadium. There is no regular, non-matchday direct rail service to the stadium.
Where are the Stadium shuttle pick-up locations?
Official New York New Jersey Stadium Shuttle service will operate from multiple locations across the region. In New York City, fans can take a one-seat ride directly from the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Midtown East. In New Jersey, park-and-ride service will be available from the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
Can I drive myself to the Stadium?
General public parking will not be available at the Stadium on matchdays. A limited amount of premium parking will be offered at American Dream, located near the Stadium, and must be purchased in advance. Fans using this option should plan to arrive early.
Can rideshare vehicles drop me off at the Stadium?
No. On matchdays, all rideshare drop-off and pick-up will take place at Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment. The Stadium parking lots will be restricted to FIFA-permitted vehicles only. The drop-off location at Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment is connected to the Stadium by a direct walking route. Please allow for extra travel time if you opt for rideshare on matchdays.
Can I book my own private car or transportation service?
You can—but for a smoother, more enjoyable matchday, the Official NYNJ Stadium Shuttle is the way to go. Stadium access is restricted to FIFA-permitted vehicles, and private cars without a permit are limited to drop-off and pick‑up at Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment or American Dream, followed by a walk to the Stadium. The Official NYNJ Stadium Shuttle skips the restrictions and drops you off right where the excitement begins—making it the easiest and most reliable option for matchday travel.
How accessible is transportation to the Stadium?
Accessible transportation options will be available across official services. Both the Official New York New Jersey Stadium Shuttle and NJ TRANSIT rail and bus services will have ADA-accessible accommodations. Additional accessibility information, including boarding assistance and accessible travel planning resources, will be provided closer to the tournament.
Can I bring luggage, bags, or other large items on trains or shuttles to the Stadium?
No. Large items, like suitcases, non-transparent bags, flagpoles, banners, or items with rigid sticks or handles, are not permitted on official Stadium-bound transportation. The same prohibited items policy that applies at the Stadium also applies on all official transportation services, including NJ TRANSIT service and the Official NYNJ Stadium Shuttle. Fans arriving with prohibited items may be denied boarding or asked to dispose of or deposit items before traveling. To ensure a smooth matchday experience, please review the FIFA guidance on prohibited items before departing.
