NEW YORK, NY — Following this evening’s Brazil vs. Morocco match at New York New Jersey Stadium, FIFA World Cup 2026™ New York New Jersey Host Committee CEO Alex Lasry released the following statement:
“Today was a tremendous success. We welcomed more than 80,000 fans to New York New Jersey Stadium and delivered a safe, secure, and memorable matchday experience.
“Working alongside our public safety, transportation, venue, and FIFA partners, we successfully got fans who arrived during the designated travel windows into the stadium before kickoff and facilitated an orderly departure in under three hours across multiple transportation options following the match.
“According to FIFA, the official attendance for today’s match was 80,663. As we prepare to welcome fans back for our next match on Tuesday, we strongly encourage attendees to use NJ TRANSIT or our Official NYNJ Stadium Shuttle and to plan ahead to ensure they arrive in their seats before kickoff.
“From the moment fans arrived to the final whistle, today demonstrated that the NYNJ Host Committee delivered on its promise to create a world-class fan experience.”

- Stadium shuttle tickets sold: 16,013
- First Shuttle Departure Pre Match: 1:55 PM
- Final Scheduled-Shuttle Arrival Pre Match: 5:30 PM (transportation remained operational for fans who arrived outside of transportation windows)
- First Shuttle Departure Post Match: 8:07 PM
- Final Full Shuttle Departure Post Match: 10:28 PM (transportation will remain operational until 11:00 PM)
